Seven tricks to help improve memory

The ability to learn, and therefore store information, perhaps one of the most important skills for every person.
the methods by which we were taught to memories information in school At home, does not really works.
Therefore, we have translated excerpts from the book Make It Stick  / The Science Of Successful Learning, Remember this /successful learning Science.
1 - how to work ---» Learn how to find the right memory.
When you are trying to  something, you're just looking for information, iterate through all the options. Do you remember the idea, not any particularly information you jagged. This is useful because it makes work neuronal connections, which are directly related to the desired Idea.
2 -  Processing ---» communicate ideas already known to you and your family.
When you are trying to convey information "in their own words, you work it.
If" you can explain a new idea, using your existing knowledge, the better you will remember this new information, and create a connection, which you can later play it' ---/ say the author's.
For example, in the physics of heat transfer process is easy to understand if you imagine a cup of coffee that warms your hand's.
3. Alternation ---» study different subjects.
When you are working simultaneously on several issues, you do interleaving. If you want to understand the essence of the object - from the economy to the basics of the game of baseball equipment - then you will succeed better if you consider the wide variety of cases it's 💯% working.
Example of sports batter player improves his skills if trained in different ways innings. Simply because when you find yourself with a problem one on one, you will first need to determine what kind of this problem, and then look for ways to solve the problems.
4. Generation:---» Look for the answers on their own.
When you are trying to find the answer yourself before get it, you do the conversion /--- Grasp the unknown, and independently deciding all the questions, you probably remember the way to solve than if someone sits down and shows you how to do it /---  During his studies, it is useful to try to find their own answers to the job -- before it will take for the whole group. And at work you can better defend their ideas when promuchalas with the problem on their own, to talk with the boss 💯% working with prouf).
5. Analysis:---» evaluate what is happening.
If you are distracted for a short time to assess what is happening at the meeting (or project) as if from outside - you analyze, evaluate what is happening. It is useful to ask yourself a few questions: What has been done successfully? What could be improved? What does this mean? Researchers at the Harvard Business School is considered a so-called «reflective writing» (brief analysis of what is happening) very effective technique. Just 15 minutes spent in the late afternoon on a brief analysis of the important points, increased the efficiency of some groups by 23% - 24%.
6. Mnemonic:---» use tricks to remember.
This is when you use a poem to memorize, A simple example from my childhood -- the order of the rainbow colors is easy to remember this: Every hunter wants to know where sits Pheasant (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Blue, Purple).
And although you have to remember something else, not the essence of the object, you are creating important associations that help to memorize the necessary information collected.
7. Calibration: Make sure that you have understood correctly our mude.
When you realize that something is not known, you get important feedback. This is when you as objectively as possible get rid of illusions and try to see things in a more realistic light. This is important, because we are all suffering from "cognitive distortions": after all, often we think we understand something, when in fact it is not.
Therefore it is better to listen to the comments of friends, to better understand the situations results will be showing its really working .
